Labels

Prime

Labels that can be used for various purposes, not limited to any specific application. Generally, they are easy to use and suitable for application on various surfaces such as paper, plastic, metal, or other materials. This type of label is ideal for simple and versatile applications, making it widely popular for most uses.

No label look

No label look refers to a label design that makes it appear as if there is no label on the product. It is transparent and blends seamlessly with the packaging surface, allowing the background or texture underneath to be clearly visible without any color or images obstructing it. This technique is commonly used for premium products to convey a sense of luxury and simplicity.

Traceability

Traceability a label that can be used to track or trace information about a product. The information can be retrieved later to verify the product’s origin, manufacturing process, or history. These labels are commonly used in industries that require transparency and the ability to thoroughly verify product data.

Types of Labels for Traceability

Barcode Label : Used to store basic information about products, which can be easily read and traced back.

QR Code Stickers : Label with a QR Code that can store more information than a barcode, such as links to websites, product history, or verification data.

Brand Protection

Brand Protection a label designed to prevent product counterfeiting, often incorporating special features that allow verification of whether the product is genuine. Anti-counterfeiting labels are an essential tool in protecting intellectual property rights and enhancing safety for both manufacturers and consumers.

Functional

Labels with additional functions, such as steam Labels (Steam Labels), or sometimes referred to as ‘steam-resistant Labels,’ are designed to withstand heat or exposure to steam. These Labels are commonly used in industries or production processes that involve heat or steam, such as baking, washing, or sterilization. This type of Labels has special properties that prevent it from peeling off or deteriorating when exposed to high temperatures or moisture, such as during steam sterilization in food production or in the medical industry, where sterilization processes require high temperatures, like autoclaving.

Multi-layer print

Multi-layer print a label composed of multiple layers of different materials or printing that can reveal information or designs on each layer. For example, the first layer may feature printed patterns or text, while the second layer may contain hidden information that can be revealed or altered through certain actions, such as scratching or peeling off layers. This is ideal for applications that require multiple layers of information or design on a single label, such as products that need to include multiple languages, usage instructions, or legal information that requires more space.

IML (In-Mold Label)

The process of attaching a label or label into a mold during the plastic production process, using printing technology that ensures the labels or label is permanently bonded to the product while the plastic is still in a molten state (or before it cools and solidifies). The use of IML is therefore suitable for products that require durability and high-quality packaging.

Printed Roll

Printed Roll a label printed on a continuous roll of material, suitable for mass production. It is designed to be compatible with automated machinery or to be cut and folded into the desired size.

POP Label

POP Label : a label designed to stand out at the point of sale or in stores. It often features bright colors, attention-grabbing text, and graphics that help attract customers’ attention and interest in the product on the shelf.

Components of Self-Adhesive Labels

Self-adhesive labels are typically made up of three main components:

Facestock : This is the top layer that directly receives the ink. It may have a chemical coating (topcoat) or use heat treatment to create a porous surface (corona treatment) to ensure better ink adhesion.

The choice of the Facestock of a label can be based on several factors, such as the intended use, durability, brand image, and user experience. For example, labels with a glossy surface convey a premium feel and are durable. Glossy or shiny labels are typically water-resistant and resistant to scratches, while matte labels offer a simple and natural look.

Facestock Materials

Paper
Paper is commonly used as the primary material for facestock. It is often applied for indoor decoration or temporary use, such as labels for exhibitions or embellishments for greeting cards.

Matte White Paper

  • Characteristics : Smooth surface with no light reflection.
  • Applications : Suitable for general use where a premium look is not required, such as products that emphasize simplicity or items that aren’t frequently handled. The matte surface provides a clean, non-reflective finish.

Gloss White Paper

  • Characteristics : Shiny, reflective surface.
  • Applications : Ideal for applications requiring sharp details and vibrant colors, such as printing graphics or logos that need to stand out. It is well-suited for premium products or items that need durability against scratches and water.

Plastic Labels

PP (Polypropylene) Sticker

  • Characteristics : Made from plastic, offering high durability and resistance to moisture, oils, and various chemicals. It also provides flexibility for a wide range of applications.
  • Applications : Ideal for environments that require durability and exposure to moisture or liquids, such as labeling products in freezers, water bottles, or items needing scratch resistance.

PE (Polyethylene) Sticker

  • Characteristics : Made from plastic, offering high flexibility and durability. PE stickers are resistant to moisture and certain chemicals but are not heat-resistant.
  • Applications : Ideal for packaging that requires flexibility, such as food packaging or products that need to be applied to curved or uneven surfaces.

PO (Polyolefin) Sticker

  • Characteristics : Made from a durable plastic material with good flexibility, capable of withstanding environments with high humidity and temperatures.
  • Applications : Ideal for long-term use and can be applied to various surface types, such as flat, curved, glossy, or slightly rough surfaces. Common uses include vacuum-sealed product packaging or bags for storing liquids.

PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) Sticker

  • Characteristics : Made from a durable and flexible plastic, resistant to scratches, heat, and moisture.
  • Applications : Ideal for applications where the packaging surface needs to be visible, such as on water bottles and cosmetic products.

Adhesive : This layer differentiates the labels from other types of printing materials. The adhesive layer's role is to adhere to various surfaces such as paper, glass, or plastic.

Classification by Application

Permanent Adhesive

  • Properties : Provides a strong, permanent bond that cannot be removed without leaving residue or damaging the surface
  • Applications : Suitable for packaging labels that require durability, barcode labels, warning signs, and general product labels such as water bottle labels and food labels.

Removable Adhesive

  • Properties : Can be removed without leaving adhesive residue on the  surface
  • Applications : Suitable for product labels that need frequent changes, such as price tags on books, promotional labels, product price tags, labels for glass, or electronic devices.

High Tack Adhesive

  • Properties : Provides a high level of adhesion, able to stick to rough surfaces or low-energy surfaces such as PP and PE plastics
  • Applications : Suitable for industrial labels that require high durability, stickers for plastic bags, or plastic boxes with slippery surfaces.

Cold-Temperature Adhesive

  • Properties : Provides strong adhesion at low temperatures, able to withstand extreme cold of up to -20°C or lower
  • Applications : Suitable for labels on packaging that need to be stored in cold storage, such as frozen food labels.

Heat Resistant Adhesive

  • Properties : Can withstand high temperatures ranging from 100-200°C without peeling or losing adhesion
